Winter Intention 2025: Conditions of Entry

Violation of this code of conduct will result in corrective action from the event organizing team up to and including immediate removal from Winter Intention (the “Event”). Criminal acts will be reported to the police.

By purchasing your ticket and attending the event you agree to the following:

  1. Government issued photo identification must be presented at the gate for entry.
  2. All tickets are non-refundable and are transferable only in cooperation with the Registration Team.
  3. All participants must complete the registration form after ticket purchase.
  4. All participants must read and acknowledge these Conditions of Entry and the Release of Liability to attend the Event.
  5. All participants must volunteer for at least four hours during the Event unless excused.
  6. We are collectively responsible for Loon Lake Lodge & Retreat Centre facilities and equipment. Participants will be responsible for any damages caused by themselves or their dependents.
  7. Leave no trace: Place all garbage and recyclables in designated containers.
  8. Use the designated restroom facilities only. The forest and lake are NOT available for bathroom use.
  9. Respect boundaries. Physical, sexual, or verbal assault will not be tolerated. See the Consent Guidelines for further details.
  10. Parents or guardians must supervise children aged 12 and under at all times by keeping the child in sight. If a child under 7 is swimming the parent must be arms length away.
  11. Parents or guardians must monitor teenagers aged 13 to 18 years old at all times by knowing where their child is and what they are doing.
  12. Late-night noise can be a source of conflict with our venues and their neighbours. Please co-operate and turn down sound when requested by the organizing team or volunteers
  13. Ask permission before photographing or video recording another attendee. Ask permission again before publishing in any way.
  14. According to our contract with the venue:
    1. Illegal activities, drug abuse or inhumane treatment of animals will not be tolerated on the Research Forest.
    2. Nudity or sexually explicit behavior in open areas and common areas will not be tolerated. This encompasses all areas of Loon Lake except for bedrooms.
    3. No dogs, bikes, fishing, or camping are allowed anywhere in the Research Forest.
    4. Bear, cougar, and other wildlife frequent the forest. Be aware that they can pose a danger to you. Do not attempt to feed or touch any wildlife at any time.
    5. Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas.
    6. Open fires are permitted only in the Loon Lake fire pit.
    7. NO NUTS of any kind are permitted in Bentley Dining Hall.
