What to Bring

Identification

Please have picture identification ready to show at the gate. THANK YOU!!

Food

There is no organised food preparation this year! You will need to bring (or arrange to share) all your own:

  • Meals
  • Snacks
  • Coffee/Tea/Beverages
  • Cooking equipment

Optional potluck plans: 

Although we are not organizing and providing food for this event, sharing meals is something most of us look forward to. If you would like to participate in a potluck, feel free to use this shared spreadsheet for planning. There are two tabs for Saturday and Sunday dinners. More may be added more upon request. And please remember to write out the ingredients of your dish for those with allergies or other food limitations.
 
 

IMPORTANT! PLEASE NO anise, fennel or licorice — some people onsite are extremely allergic to these particular substances!  Also, please no strong fragrances or scents.  

Water

There is no drinking water at Crystal Creek! There are also no showers. Bring:

  • 4l of drinking and cooking water per person per day
  • A water filter if you plan to try and drink the creek water
  • Earth-friendly soap for washing (NOT in the creek!! - Aside from being harmful to wildlife, residents downstream drink from this creek.)

There is an aquifer well pump in lower Gibsons where you can fill up for a reasonable rate. You will need to pay by credit card at the aquifer pump.

Camping Stuff

  • A flashlight or headlamp and spare batteries

For resting

  • Tent
  • Groundsheet 
  • Tent pegs
  • Fly or tarp for over tent
  • Rope
  • Air mattress/thermarest
  • Pump if necessary for air mattress
  • Sleeping bag/extra blankets
  • Pillow
  • Decor for your personal space

For eating and drinking

  • Water bottle
  • Cup, bowl, plate and personal cutlery 
  • A cooler
  • Stove 
  • Fuel for the stove
  • Pots and pans
  • Cutting board
  • Pot holder/mitt
  • Swiss army knife/corkscrew/can opener
  • Cooking oil and condiments
  • A bowl to wash up in 
  • Paper towels
  • Cleaning stuff (earth-friendly detergent, sponge/scrubber, drying cloths)

For personal care

  • Towel/facecloth
  • Sunglasses
  • Earth-friendly soap
  • Toothbrush and toothpaste
  • Sunscreen
  • Bug repellant
  • Deodorant
  • Condoms/lube
  • Vitamins/supplements
  • Any meds you are currently taking
  • Hand sanitizer

For wearing

  • Costumes to express your wildest, freest self.
    Themes to consider: Tutus are ALWAYS appropriate at Intention :-)
  • Hat
  • Boots/waterproof shoes
  • Sunny-weather shoes
  • Warm clothes
  • Cool clothes
  • Bathing suit (because you never know when you're going to get wet)
  • Socks
  • Rain coat (so it won’t rain!  ;-)  
  • Underwear
  • A towel

For fun

  • Musical instruments
  • A journal and writing stuff
  • Hoops and other toys to play with
  • Games
  • Music
  • Camera
  • ART to display outdoors

For contributing to the vibe

  • Craft supplies, e.g. paintbrushes, paints, crayons, paper, beads, feathers, crepe paper, glue gun w/glue, scissors. NO GLITTER please!
  • Rugs, pillows and comforters for the cuddle spaces
  • Yoga mats
  • LED fairy lights

For leaving no trace

  • Garbage bags (LEAVE NO TRACE, pack it ALL out, THANKS!!!)
  • IF YOU SMOKE, bring a butt tin and smoke in the designated smoking areas. 

What to leave behind

  • Anise, fennel, licorice and anything that contains these ingredients (chai mixes, etc). Some people in the community are extremely allergic to these particular substances!  
  • Candles and lanterns with flames.
  • Cares and worries.
  • Dogs and other companion animals. If you have a certified service animal, talk to info[at]intentiongathering[dot]org for clarification.

And last but definitely not least, bring your love, cuddles, and urge to dance, express yourself and participate!
